Spring is in the air and blenders are a-whirling! Smoothies are a quick and convenient way to get the fuel you need without the hassle of cooking. However, many smoothie recipes are lacking one key macronutrient: protein! 

Often fruit heavy, the typical smoothie/shake recipe is packed with sugar. Try these 5 protein packed, plant based smoothie recipes for a shake that's balanced and provides the nutrition your body needs.

1. Blueberry Muffin Shake 

  • 8oz unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 scoops PurE2 Vanilla Protein
  • 2 handfuls of blueberries
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
